Enjoy Books and Ice Cream

Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your day in Westborough.

It's Thursday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Westborough to help make your day a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. Enjoy books and ice cream.

The Hastings Elementary School Parent Group's book fair and ice cream social is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

2. Network.

The Networking Group meets from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at Tatnuck Bookseller.

3. Attend the Westborough Senior Center's Asian Senior Gathering.

It's from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, and will include tai chi; chair yoga; a fire prevention and safety workshop by the fire department; and a Chinese lunch.

4. Support the Westborough High School varsity volleyball team.

The Rangers play Longmeadow in the state Division 2 semi-finals at 7 p.m. Thursday at Hudson.

5. In case you missed it: Congratulate the WHS music department.

Tuesday, MyWhiteBoards.com and OptiMA Inc.  Vice President-Owner Doug Klimavich presented his companies' first Music Staff Education Grant, worth $1,000, to Coordinator of Fine Arts David Jost and Director of Choral Music Alyson Greer Espinosa.
