Crash Involving Two Trucks On I-495 Holds Traffic Up For Hours

WESTBORO, MA — A major crash involving two trucks on I-495 sent multiple vehicles off the road, injuring several, and causing heavy traffic delays on the Westborough/Hopkinton town line Friday morning.

Emergency crews responded to a report of a crash on the southbound side of the highway at the Massachusetts Turnpike just before 8 a.m.

Members of the Westboro Fire Department say they found a white truck that had lost its container and a flatbed hauling wood had both veered off the road during the crash.

At least two injuries were reported after the crash, but the extent of those injuries has not yet been made clear.

Officials warned commuters of heavy delays while crews worked to investigate the crash.
