I-495 Ramp Closure Continues This Week: MassDOT
The ramp closure is part of the wider interchange renovation at the I-495, Mass Pike intersection.
WESTBOROUGH, MA — The ongoing overhaul of the I-495 and Mass Pike interchange will mean delays for some drivers this week — again.
Starting Monday, MassDOT began a series of nightly closures for the I-495 southbound exit 106 from both directions of the Mass Pike. Each closure will take place between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. until Friday morning.
During construction, the following detour will be in place, according to MassDOT:

- When the I-495 southbound on-ramp from I-90 eastbound and westbound is closed, traffic will be directed to follow the detour signs and use I-495 northbound to exit 59B (Route 9 westbound), to reverse direction back to I-495 southbound.
MassDOT is in the process of rebuilding the ramps connecting the two highways to increase traffic capacity, and make the interchange safer. The project will be ongoing until summer 2027.
