Man Arrested At Stop & Shop For Trying To Withdraw $4,500
A man was arrested for fraud, and the driver was arrested for driving without a license.

WESTBOROUGH, MA—A Springfield man is facing charges for trying to withdraw $4,500 fraudulently from a grocery store in Westborough.
On Monday, Jan. 20, around 3:30 p.m., police were called to Citizens Bank inside the Stop and Shop on Lyman Street, where a man was reportedly trying to fraudulently withdraw money from someone else's account.
Sgt. Jonathan Kalagher spotted the subject fitting the description walking from the store and getting into a Honda Accord with NY plates. He pulled the car over in the lot, and the teller identified him as the person trying to take $4,500 from another person's account using a fake, NH license. The teller had been previously warned about this person who has done this in other Citizens branches receiving more than $100,000 fraudulently.

Jamie Ervin, 47, Eastern Ave., Springfield, was taken into custody and charged with attempted larceny over and identity theft. He is being held on $2,500 cash bail. The driver of the vehicle, Albert Paulin, 31 Popham Street, New York, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license. He was released on $1,500 cash bail.
