On both Monday and Tuesday nights, MassDOT will close the ramps from east and westbound I-90 to the southbound I-495 lanes. The closures will last from 11 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the next day, with MassDOT estimating the work will be wrapped up by Wednesday morning.

  • When the I-90 (exit 106) ramp connecting I-90 eastbound and westbound to I-495 southbound is closed, traffic will be directed to follow the detour signs and use I-495 northbound to exit 59B (Route 9 westbound), to reverse direction back to I-495 southbound.

This week's closures are part of a flurry of construction activity around the interchange that will be ongoing through the summer. The construction project also affects the Fruit Street bridge between Westborough and Hopkinton.
