Shrewsbury Man Charged In Connection To Westborough Kidnapping

A suspect involved in a Westborough kidnapping has been charged in connection to a kidnapping.

UPDATE: Iury DeSouza, 32, was arrested and charged in connection to a kidnapping. He was arraigned on charges of kidnapping, intimidation, and assault and battery on a family or household member.

DeSouza was arraigned at Westborough District Court on Friday, Jan. 31. According to court dockets, he is being held without bail and a dangerousness hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 4.

WESTBOROUGH, MA - Iury Vieira DeSouza, 32, a Shrewsbury resident, has been identified as the suspect involved in an alleged kidnapping, according to the Westborough Police.

On Jan. 28, Westborough officers responded to a report of a juvenile being held against her will at a local hotel near Connector Road. The victim was located and taken to a hospital for evaluation.

DeSouza is suspected to be operating a black Acura (MA plate IGXJ36), and an arrest warrant as been issued.
