Thousands Of Lbs Of Food Collected At Westborough Food Drive

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Thousands of lbs of food were collected at a local food drive event over the weekend.
The Westborough community donated more than 2,200 lbs of food and hundreds of dollars at the "Fill A Truck" food drive event on Saturday, according to a news release. The drive, at Bay State Commons, was hosted by the Westborough Food Pantry, along with help from Marks Moving and Storage and Roche Bros.
The community food pantry provides for over 150 families in town each week and donates more than 130 tons of food per year.

“Once again, the Westborough neighbors stepped up and took an active role in helping families who are experiencing food insecurity," wrote Polly Thayer of the Westborough Food Pantry in the release.
