Town Manager’s Report On Police, Library And More

The Dec. 17 town manager's report featured news on increased police stops, new library attractions for children and health updates.

WESTBOROUGH, MA - The town manager’s report from Dec. 17 contained updates on the police, health department, library and more.

  • Westborough police will increase their traffic patrols in an effort to curb impaired driving, done in part through a grant from the National High Traffic Safety Administration and the Municipal Road Safety Grant.
  • The library launched a new collection of Tonieboxes, screen-free listening experiences that encourage imaginative play for children.
  • The Department of Public Health passed the inspection of the Vaccines for Children program.
  • The Oak Street Water Treatment Plant PFAS Improvement project was awarded loan forgiveness of about $1.15 million, 13% of the project cost.
  • Nominations for the March 11, 2025, town elections are available in the Town Clerk’s Office. The last day to pull those papers is Jan. 17.
  • The annual town census will be mailed out to residents in the beginning of January.
  • Annual dog licensing starts on Jan. 2
