Wanted: Candidates For March 4 Ballot

There's a 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10 deadline for taking out nomination papers.

No potential contests have emerged for the March 4 annual town election, with just one week left to get nomination papers.

There's a 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10 deadline for taking out nomination papers. There's a 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14 deadline for filing signed nomination papers signed by 50 registered voters.

Here are the offices on the ballot, and who had taken out papers as of Tuesday:

School committee: two three-year terms. Incumbents are Ilyse Levine-Kanji and Jody Hensley, who both have taken out papers.

School committee: one two-year term. The current office-holder is Karen Henderson (appointed after Bruce Tretter resigned). George Thompson has taken out papers.

Library trustee: three three-year terms. Incumbents are Patricia Fontes, Lisa Freeman and Dorothy Mello.

Planning board: one five-year term. Incumbent is Mark Silverberg, who has taken out papers.

Planning board: one four-year term (created when Joanne Mallozzi resigned this fall).

Planning board: one two-year term. The current office-holder is Edward Newton Jr. (appointed after Trevor Beauregard resigned). Newton has taken out papers.

Selectmen: one three-year term. Incumbent is Ian Johnson, who has taken out papers.

Moderator: one three-year term. Incumbent is Joseph Harrington, who will not seek re-election. John Arnold has taken out papers.

Town clerk: one three-year term. Incumbent is Nancy Yendriga, who has retired. Wendy Mickel has taken out papers.

Housing authority: one five-year term. Incumbent is Priscilla Federici, who has taken out papers.
