Westborough To Host Seventh Annual MLK Day Celebration

WESTBOROUGH, MA - Westborough will hold its seventh annual celebration of Martin Luther King Day on Jan. 20 at Westborough High School.

It's one of the few MLK Day events in Central Massachusetts, and this year's theme is "Purpose, Partnership and Power: The Path to Civic Wellbeing." The Westborough High choral group will give a performance, and Jerren Chang, cofounder and CEO of GenUnity, will give a speech.

A set of events for children will take place at the same time and will be run by Westborough's social studies curriculum coordinator Tara Gestrich. Students from Westborough High's Black student union also helped plan the celebrations.
