Westborough I-90 Rest Stop Focus Of MassDOT Improvement Plan
The Westborough plaza and six others along the Mass Pike may get new amenities based on feedback from drivers who use it.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — MassDOT on Thursday will kick off a series of hearings focused on improving rest stops located along major highways in the state, including the Westborough service plaza along the Mass Pike.
The first meeting Thursday will review amenities at all of the Mass Pike service plazas, including ones on Natick, Framingham, Lee, Blandford, Charlton and Ludlow. MassDOT is also collecting feedback through an online survey.
"This consumer survey, along with the input gathered from public meetings, will help establish an understanding of how travelers use each service plaza, what amenities are appreciated, and what amenities may be missing," MassDOT said in a news release this week.

If you're interested in sharing your rest stop experience, the meeting that includes the Westborough plaza begins at 6 p.m. Thursday online.
Following other hearings in June focused on plazas along I-95 and Route 3, MassDOT will issue a request for proposals for long-term leases of the plazas. Feedback gathered during the meetings will likely inform that request.
