New Jersey Mike's Hosts Grand Opening With Fundraiser

This will be the second new Jersey Mike's in the area after a grand opening in Milford in the spring.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — The fourth Jersey Mike's sub shop in the area will host a grand opening on Wednesday in Westborough with a fundraiser to benefit a local school program.

For its first four days in business, the 1 Oak St. Jersey Mike's will offer subs for a minimum $3 donation to the BORO Program. Westborough Jersey Mike's owner Tyler Tombs distributed coupons for the promotion recently, which customers will need for the $3 sub promotion.

The BORO Program provides transition help from school to adulthood for special needs Westborough Public School students between ages 18 and 22.

"I look forward to partnering with The BORO Program to raise money during the grand opening for their extremely worthy mission of providing transition related programming for recent Westborough Public School graduates with special needs," Tombs said in a news release.

A Jersey Mike's just opened in mid-April in Milford. The owner, who also operates locations in Franklin, Dedham, Walpole and Norfolk, held a grand opening promotion giving out free subs in exchange for donations to the high school and the Doug Flutie foundation.

There are also Jersey Mike's locations in Shrewsbury and Marlborough. The chain is also planning to open stores in Hudson and a second Shrewsbury location at 120 Boston Turnpike.

The Westborough Jersey Mike's will be open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
