“For some, seeing certain shades for the first time is a powerful and emotional experience,” wrote the library’s assistant director, Lynne Soukup.
The glasses are a part of the library's “Library of Things”, which is to help people discover something new, according to Soukup.

It works as a “try before you buy" option, which makes an expensive item accessible to everyone. EnChroma color blind glasses can retail for up to $3 hundred.
The borrowing limit for the glasses is 14 days, with no renewals. And, the borrower must be present when checking out and returning the item.
