Brazilian Woman Found Driving Illegally on Powers Road

The following information was supplied by the Westford Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Sept. 8, 1:40 p.m. – Two drivers during an incident at the off ramp to 495 North at Exit 32 contacted police, with one actually leaving the scene and driving down to the station.

This driver, said that the other driver, the operator of an SUV, sped up to block her from exiting the off ramp for reasons unknown, while also yelling at her.

The other driver apparently called the dispatch center at exact same time, although details on their story were not indicated.

Neither party wanted further communication.

Sept. 18, 9:00 a.m. – Police stopped a woman driving on Powers Road following an accident, with the woman providing a driver’s license and passport from Brazil.

The officer told the woman that the license expired in 2011. Then he asked how long she had lived in the U.S., to which she replied she had been here for 12 years. The officer informed the woman she was driving illegally, which she acknowledged.

She was issued a criminal citation for driving without a license, and her car was towed.

Samuel Lupoli, 28, of 198 Hayden Rd. in Groton was arrested for an unspecified outstanding warrant.

Sept. 23, 1:11 p.m. - Kenneth Wayne Allen, 50, of Rosewood Ave. in Ayer was arrested for alleged driving with a suspended license, vehicle equipment violations and driving without an inspection sticker.

Sept. 27. 1:14 p.m. - Nathon Caron, 35, of Summer St. in Nashua was arrested for alleged driving without lights on and driving while unlicensed.
