Broadway Street Bridge Closed For Construction

Construction crews are working to stabilize the 80-foot smokestack at 12 North Main Street, causing the Broadway Street Bridge to be closed to traffic all day, except for local residences and businesses.

A crane will be positioned on Broadway Street.

Police officers will be at the site to assist with the road detour. National Grid will have a crew on site for the duration of the project. National Grid has indicated that power will not be interrupted in the neighborhood, according to the town of Westford website.

Work started on Monday morning and is expected to continue through Wednesday.
