The boss, who arrived later, said that the employee was told to be quiet when a personal cell phone conversation the employee was having on the job site was interfering with a business conversation the boss was having.
This enraged the employee, who walked away and was dropped off later by another landscaping company. At this point the employee said he was going to call the police.
