Knife Found At Greater Lowell Technical High School: Police

TYNGSBOROUGH, MA — A knife was found in a girls locker room at Greater Lowell Technical High School Thursday, police said. A group of students found the small kitchen knife in a shower stall, according to Tyngsborough Deputy police Chief Christopher Chronopoulos.

"There have been no threats against the school, and at this time police do not believe there is any danger to students or staff," Chronopoulos said in a statement. "This information is being reported to the public in the interest of transparency."

An investigation into the origin of the knife was ongoing. Chronopoulos praised the students "who came forward immediately" to notify a teacher about their discovery.
