LETTER: Peraner-Sweet Has Earned Our Support

Letter to the Editor:

I am writing to support Andrea Peraner-Sweet for re-election to the Westford Board of Selectmen.

As a long term member of the Conservation Commission, I have had the opportunity to work with Andrea first in her role on the Planning Board and now on the Board of Selectman. She is committed to open government and to preserving Westford as an affordable community with excellent schools and a small town atmosphere. She has always worked to foster cooperation between Town boards and committees to solve problems and issues that the Town faces.

Andrea has been a strong advocate for preserving open space both for conservation, recreation and water resources while serving on the Stepinski Land Acquisition Committee and on the Board of the Westford Land Preservation Foundation. She has worked to encourage affordable housing by co-chairing the Affordable Housing Committee. In economic development, Andrea has served on the Town’s Master Plan Committee and has consistently worked to encourage both new companies to come to Westford and for companies like Red Hat to stay and expand their current facilities.

I believe Andrea has earned our support for re-election to the Board of Selectman thru her consistent hard work and dedication to the Town.
