Massachusetts Earthquake Recorded In Middlesex County
A magnitude-1.6 earthquake hit a Middlesex County town Monday night, according to state officials.

BOXBOROUGH, MA — A magnitude-1.6 earthquake hit Boxborough Monday night, according to state officials. The minor quake could possibly be felt in that town and surrounding communities like Acton and possibly as far away as Hudson. The quake hit at about 8:48 p.m. No damage was reported.
It was the third earthquake of such magnitude in Massachusetts since September 6, when a magnitude-1.7 quake hit Athol. A magnitude-1.6 hit Fairhaven on Oct. 1.
Earthquakes in Massachusetts are common enough but rarely strong enough to cause damage to buildings. The biggest earthquake in recorded state history dates back to 1755, when a magnitude-6 quake hit the Cape Ann area.

I just felt an earthquake and an aftershock in Leominster, MA. About 11:25 pm, Eastern Time. I am not kidding.
