Massachusetts School Closure List After Nor'easter
Massachusetts storm update: schools in Southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod canceled classes as more than 130,000 remained without power.

SCITUATE, MA — More than a dozen Massachusetts school systems canceled classes Monday as the restoration effort continued from Friday's devastating nor'easter. Statewide, more than 130,000 remained without power Sunday night — mostly in Southeastern Massachusetts and on Cape Cod.
Friday's storm knocked out power to more than 450,000 across Massachusetts. The storm was blamed for the death of a Plympton man after a tree fell on him. More than a dozen emergency shelters remained open Sunday.
Scituate, Pembroke, Marion and Norwell were among the hardest hit communities — more than 75 percent of those residents were still without power Sunday night.
