Westford School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

WESTFORD, MA — The first days of school in Westford are August 28 and 29 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the dates on your calendar ASAP. The Westford School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 8/28: First Day of School (Grades Pre-K-5)
• 8/29: First Day of School (Grades 7, 8, 10-12)
• 8/31: No School

September

• 9/3: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/4: First Day of School (Grades Kindergarten and Pre-K)

October

• 10/8: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/9: No School (Professional Development)

November

• 11/12: No School (Veterans' Day)
• 11/21: Half Day
• 11/22 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/6: Half Day
• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
• 1/22: No School (Professional Development)

February

• 2/6: Half Day
• 2/18 - 2/22: No School (Winter Break)

March

• 3/14: Half Day

April

• 4/3: Half Day
• 4/15 - 4/19: No School (Spring Recess)
