Westford School Worker Found With Gun Fired: Officials

Westford police said James Healy, a Crisafulli Elementary School custodian, was found with a loaded gun in his vehicle.

WESTFORD, MA — A Westford school janitor was fired Tuesday after police said he was found with a loaded gun on school grounds. James Healy, 21, was arrested and charged with a host of crimes.

"This is an egregious breach of public trust, school safety, and the work that our school system and public safety officials have done to keep our students and staff safe," Westford schools Superintendent Everett Olsen said in a statement.

Healy was a janitor at Crisafulli Elementary School. Westford police an anonymous individual informed a school resource officer of a photo on social media that allegedly showed Healy with a gun. Police said they launched an investigation and eventually found a gun in Healy's truck parked at Crisfulli Elementary Tuesday.
