Which Channel is the Red Sox Playoff Games On?

It's not NESN! Here's how you can watch the game on TV in Westford

By Les Masterson

The Boston Red Sox are back in the playoffs and look to win their third World Series in a decade.

Fall baseball means drama, surprising finishes and crushing defeats, but in New England it is also punctuated with "What channel is the Sox game on?"

New Englanders scan their TVs trying to find it. "NESN, no. ESPN, no..."

You're in luck. Here is the TV schedule for the American League Division Series:

  • Game 1: Friday, Oct. 4, 3 p.m., at Boston -- TBS
  • Game 2: Saturday, Oct. 5, 5:30 p.m., at Boston -- TBS
  • Game 3: Monday, Oct. 7, TBD, at Tampa Bay -- TBS or MLB Network (depending on other games)
  • Game 4: Tuesday, Oct. 8, TBD, at Tampa Bay -- TBS (if necessary)
  • Game 5: Thursday, Oct. 10, TBD, at Boston -- TBS (if necessary)

If the Sox get past Tampa Bay, it will get easier for TV watchers. All of the American Championship Series and World Series games are on FOX.

In Westford, TBS is on Channel 31 for Comcast subscribers and Channel 52 for Verizon subscribers.

MLB Network is Channel 86 on Verizon and 269 for Comcast.
