Woman Identified In Fatal Crash On Littleton Road In Ayer

The 57-year-old mother of two and grandmother of two worked at Concord Oil in Acton.

AYER, MA — Authorities have released the identity of the woman killed in a crash on Jan. 8, as Erika Floyd, 57 of Ayer.

Now Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Ayer Chief of Police William Murray are asking for the public's help in their investigation.

Just before 6 a.m. Jan. 8, several people called 911 to report a crash on Littleton Road in Ayer.

When police got there, they found a gray Subaru Forester and a white commercial box truck on the front lawns of two homes along Littleton Road. The front and driver’s sides of both were significantly damaged, police said.

Floyd, the driver of the Subaru was pronounced dead by first responders. The driver of the box truck, a 24-year-old Lawrence man, was transported to a hospital.

According to her obituary, Floyd was born in Germany but raised in Concord, was a graduate of Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical High School class of 1982. She attended Middlesex Community College, where she earned a Medical Secretary Certificate. She was employed as a manager of Concord Oil in Acton.

She leaves behind two sons, two grandchildren, five siblings and other friends and family.
