Rail Trail Construction Resumes In Weston: Public Meeting Planned
Work has resumed on the Rail Trail, and the committee that oversees it is holding a public info meeting about progress and plans.

WESTON, MA—The construction crews have headed back out on to the rail trails, resuming work from where they left off in December, according to a recent update from the town.
And the town wants to bring you up to speed.
The Rail Trail Advisory Committee hosts an information sharing meeting with residents on Thursday, April 12, at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of Weston Library. At the meeting, the committee shares updates and answers questions on the project, as well as summarizes the results of neighborhood meetings. Subjects include parking, screening, signs and more. According to a recent town update, work on the Rail Trail starts at the Wayland town line and moves easterly towards the Weston Transfer Station. The work schedule includes track and tie removal, and then grading and installation of the gravel sub-base, followed by paving, loaming and seeding.
Demolition is anticipated to take approximately four to five weeks, with another three to four weeks for the grading and gravel.

While all of this is going on, the rail corridor is considered an "active construction site" from Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. That means unauthorized access isn't allowed.
