5 Things: Expect to Hear Loud Bangs from Fenway Area

The Highland Hash Spring Fun Run Series is running on Thursday starting at Blanchard's at 6:30 p.m.

 

  1. Expect to hear three loud bangs a day from the Fenway-area today until May 10 from the Muddy River Restoration Project. 
  2. The Jason Roberts Challenger League kicked off its spring season on Monday and buddies are still being sought for the league to help with players. Learn more here.
  3. On Wednesday, Deutsches Altenheim presents a community educational event - Aging in Place- providing agencies, resources and information for what you need to know to age safely in your home. Speakers will present a panel discussion on adaptive housing, homemaking, meals on wheels, and home healthcare services. Holtzer Auditorium at Deutsches Altenheim. Refreshments will be provided. 7 p.m. Free.
  4. On Thursday morning, there will be a Business Networking Breakfast for BNI Rainmakers at the Sophia Snow Place. 7-8:30 a.m. Breakfast will be complimentary.
  5. The Highland Hash Spring Fun Run Series is running on Thursday starting at Blanchard's at 6:30 p.m. At each Fun Run, participants will meet at the venue at the time listed, where they can choose from either a 2.5-mile or 5 mile route based on their skill level. Each route will end back at the venue, with light appetizers and locally brewed craft beer for 90 minutes following the run. Every runner gets a pint of the featured beer at the finish, compliments of West Roxbury Main Streets, and Parkway Running Club is generously providing the food at the event. Donations will be accepted for the One Fund Boston, too.
