A Safe & Cigarettes Stolen in Gas Station Robbery in West Roxbury

A brash thief stole a safe with several hundred dollars during an overnight robbery of a West Roxbury gas station.
Around 1:09 a.m., on May 10, Boston Police responded to the One Energy gas station at 1465 VFW Parkway. The glass portion of the door to the gas station was smashed in multiple pieces on the floor, according to a Boston Police report.

Police were able to speak with a witness of the crime, who saw a suspect banging on the door of the gas station, and make off with a heavy box. The heavy box was the overnight safe containing $644 in cash, according to a gas station employee. Also, two cartons of cigarettes were also missing. Several display cases containing drinks and food were also knocked over.
The suspect was seen putting the safe in a dark-colored sedan parked near iParty, and then the vehicle drove away on VFW Parkway towards Dedham.
