Cops Seize 'Lemon Diesel' Marijuana During Spring Street Traffic Stop

A traffic stop for a defective headlight led to the seizure of marijuana on Spring Street in West Roxbury.
A Boston Police officer pulled over the driver of Honda Prelude on May 5 around 10:43 p.m. for a passenger side headlight being out, according to a Boston Police report.

An officer detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana emanating from the car and allegedly observed ash on the driver's lap. The driver allegedly showed the cop a ceramic pipe and said he had smoked marijuana earlier, according to a Boston Police report.
The driver admitted to having more marijuana in the center console, which was seized by police. Two plastic sandwich bags totaling .65 ounces, one marked "Lemon diesel" - both with leafy green matter, were seized, according to a Boston Police report.

The suspect was issued a city ordinance violation for $100 for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, and was given a verbal warning for defective headlight equipment.
