Fundraiser for BPD's Kenneth Kelly's Family at Irish Social Club on Saturday
Kenneth Kelly, a father of three, a 14-year veteran of the Boston Police Department, passed away on March 2. Led by the Brookline Lodge of Elks No. 886, his friends are organizing a fundraiser on Saturday.

A fundraiser for a family of a 14-year Boston Police Department veteran, who passed away unexpectedly, will take place on Saturday night at the Irish Social Club in West Roxbury.
Kenneth Kelly, passed away on March 2, at the age of 46, leaving behind his wife, Jane, and their three children.

"Kenneth worked in The City of Boston as a Police Officer for 14 year [sic] and could usually be seen patrolling West Roxbury in the Prisoner Wagon. Kenneth was a married father of three children," wrote David Kear, Elks 886 Chapter Adjudant. "Not only did this tragic loss leave his family without a husband and father but with an uncertain financial future. Along with his family and friends we, The Brookline Lodge of Elks 886 are organizing a fundraiser to help Kenneth's family."
Members of the Boston and Brookline Police departments, Brookline Lodge of Elks No. 886, and his friends are holding "A Time for a Friend" Fundraiser from 7 p.m. to midnight to raise money for Kelly's family. Tickets are $20 and include dancing with a DJ, buffet, raffles (win an iPad 4!), a silent auction, performances by The Fenian Sons, and the Harney Academy of Irish Dance.
