Local Woman Seeks Help After Mobility Scooter Goes Missing at Millenium Park

The friend of a local woman named Liz is looking for help in raising money to purchase a mobility scooter after Liz’s was reportedly stolen at Millennium Park in West Roxbury over the weekend.

The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday, Sept. 20, when Liz, who reportedly frequents the park, left her mobility scooter next to a trailhead that leads into the woods at Millenium, where she planned to enjoy a short walk. When she returned, the scooter was gone, and nothing was found during a subsequent police search of the area, according to a GoFundMe.com page set up by Hanna Griffiths.

As of Monday morning, $330 had been raised toward a goal of $1,000, and any money raised that exceeds the price of a new scooter will be donated to a local charity of Liz’s choosing that promotes access and mobility, according to the campaign.
