Roof Damage from Fire at West Roxbury High School

No one was hurt on Friday when the school was evacuated for something burning on the roof.

 

About $200 of damage was sustained to the roof of the West Roxbury Education Complex on Friday, according to a Boston Police report.

Around 11:22 a.m., Boston Fire Engine 30 investigated the report of smoke and fire on the roof of the rear of the building, and found nothing showing upon arrival.

The school had been evacuated, and the headmaster told police that a custodian reported something had been burning on the roof.
