West on Centre to Celebrate 'Arthur's Day,' Guinness Anniversary Thursday
Patrons will be treated to free Guinness schwag and prizes.

This Thursday, West on Centre in West Roxbury will hold a special celebration in honor of Arthur Guinness and the opening of the Guinness Brewing Company as part of “Arthur’s Day.”

The annual celebration kicked off in 2009 and honors the anniversary of the opening of the Guinness Brewing Company, and has since been celebrated annual in Ireland.
But this week, residents of the West Roxbury area can enjoy a celebration locally.

West on Centre will celebrate all night Thursday, Sept. 25 starting at 5 p.m., with free Guinness schwag and prizes, a ritual toast at 17:59 (or 5:59 p.m.), and a seasonal concoction known as the “Black-o-Lantern,” a black and tan made with Guinness and Shipyard Pumpkinhead Ale. Irish-themed dinner specials will also be featured Thursday.
