West Roxbury Main Streets Issues Market Report to Local Businesses

The West Roxbury Main Streets Economic Redevelopment Committee is set to meet next week to discuss a recently-released market report for businesses in the area.

The meeting is meant to allow local business owners in West Roxbury to network and discuss how they feel people are spending their money locally and what their target audiences are, as well as to prepare for the holiday shopping season.

The meeting will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, SEpt. 24 at the Theodore Parker Church, 1859 Centre St.

The new report compiles information on the community and aims to paint a picture of the neighborhood’s residents and demographics, as well as spending patterns.

Moreover, the report focuses on three areas:

• Outline of the geographical area and definitions used
• Market profile of the residents’ in the West Roxbury area
• Brief suggestions on how to business owners can use the information in the report to help inform business decision.
