1. Your 3-day Local Forecast: 

  • According to the National Weather Service, Friday there is an 80 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms with a high of 78 expected. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Expect patchy fog before 2 p.m.
  • Friday night there is a 40 percent of rain and thunderstorms with a low around 67 expected. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy with patchy fog after 4 a.m.
  • There is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with a high of 79 expected on Saturday. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Expect patchy fog before 8 a.m.
  • Saturday night there is a 70 percent chance of showers. Otherwise it will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. Expect patchy fog after 1 a.m.
  • Sunday there is a 50 percent chance of showers with a high near 81 expected. 
  • There is a 50 percent chance of rain Sunday night with a low of 68 expected. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Expect patchy fog after 2 a.m.

3. It's Happening Today: It's Big Wheels Day at the Wilmington Memorial Library. Starting at 10 a.m., fire engines, construction vehicles, police cars and more will be at the library.  Their operators will be on hand to answer questions.  Come climb inside and imagine what it must be like to drive them.
