  • Saturday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 31. North wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm after midnight.

2. Congratulations!: To the Wilmington High Lamplighters Drama Guild for their outstanding performance last weekend in the finals of the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild Festival in Boston. While they didn't take one of the top honors as a team, Mei Lu Barnum was presented with an award for acting excellence for her performance as Gloria in "Still Falls the Rain". Prior to this year, the Lamplighters had never even reached the second round of the competition, much less the State Finals. Bravo!

Reader Comment of the Day: "There's little doubt as to what motivated 20 people to stage a protest in front of a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, since they expel and shun anyone that doesn't agree with 100% of what their ruling body pass down as church edict.
