4. It's Happening Today: Can you spell "Winner?" The WEF Spelling Bee is tonight at 7 p.m. at the Lodge of Elks, 777 South St., Tewksbury. Here's how it works: Teams of three members spell through several preliminary rounds called “Swarms”. The winner of each round then competes in a championship “Swarm”  and a winning team is named. There is no solo spelling; each team of three decides its response. To participate: Local businesses can create or sponsor a team and pay a tax-deductible entry fee of $250. Individual team registration is $100 per team. There is no cost to be a spectator to the event.
