Barber Moves from Wilmington to Reading

Neno's Barbershop will be located on Main Street in Reading, run by several longtime employees at Clipper Barbershop in Wilmington.

After more than 30 years working at the Clipper Barbershop in Wilmington, Neno Bonomo opened a new barbershop at 484 Main St. in Reading last week and is excited to have his own shop.

Many of Bonomo's customers at Clipper Barbershop were from Reading and Wilmington, so he thought Reading would be the ideal location for the new place, Neno's Barbershop. The Wakefield resident says that it's a true barbershop that will offer haircuts for $15 and free on-street parking, plus additional parking in the municipal lot adjacent to the shop.

Carmen Fama, another popular barber at the Clipper Barbershop, will join Bonomo on certain days. Fama worked at the Clipper Barbershop for over 17 years.

Opening the shop has been "a true joy because I still enjoy what I do," Bonomo said.
