Brendan O'Flaherty Named Senior of the Month at Shawsheen
The Wilmington resident was one of two students named Senior of the Month in November at Shawsheen Valley Technical High School.

WILMINGTON, MA - Brendan O’Flaherty was one of two students named Seniors of the Month for November at Shawsheen Valley Technical High School.
A Wilmington resident, O’Flaherty is a well-rounded member of the student body, excelling both academically and athletically.
With experience in football, basketball and baseball during his high school career, O’Flaherty truly shines on the baseball field, where he suits up both for the Rams and for the Billerica Post 268 Legion team in the summer time. He was a Commonwealth Athletic Conference all star last year for Shawsheen.

He’s a big hit in the classroom, as well.
An honor roll student, O’Flaherty is ranked in the top 10 for his class with a 3.95 grade point average. He’s been active in SkillsUSA competitions and Shawsheen’s cooperative education program. O’Flaherty also spends plenty of time volunteering at organizations including Winchester Hospital, Jim McNally’s boxing and his local church.

For the future, O’Flaherty plans to put his health assisting studies to good use. He wants to earn his nursing degree in college and become a physician’s assistant.
