Car Break-Ins, Vehicle Theft Reported In Wilmington, Police Say

WILMINGTON, MA — Police are reminding residents to lock their cars after several recent reports of car break-ins and a vehicle theft.

The Wilmington Police Department posted the following on Facebook:

We’ve received several reports of car break-ins, and one vehicle stolen, early Wednesday morning. These incidents are often crimes of opportunity, and the best way to protect yourself is simple:

• REMOVE all valuables
• LOCK your doors
• TAKE your keys inside

It only takes seconds for a thief to check a door and help themselves. Don’t make it easy for them. Stay alert, stay safe, and help us keep our community secure.
