Condos Near Lucci's, Over 55 Housing and More Coming before Town Meeting Saturday
Annual Town Meeting is Saturday, April 30.

WILMINGTON, MA - Wilmington's Annual Town Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, April 30 at 10:30 a.m. in the Wilmington High School Auditorium.
There are 55 articles on the Town Meeting Warrant including a zoning amendment bylaw change to build an over 55 housing community in town, another change to allow for multi-family housing on Lowell street and more.
Town Meeting will be broadcast live on WCTV (Comcast Channel 22 / Verizon Channel 38 / and online in HD at http://wctv.org/WCTV-G-Online.

All residents received a copy of the Annual Town Meeting warrant by mail this month. Here's a look at some of the articles on the warrant:
- ARTICLE 32: To see if the town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to acquire by grant or eminent domain pursuant to G.L. c. 40, G.L. c. 79 and any other applicable statute, restrictions for low or moderate income housing on all or any portions of the property located at 57 Ballardvale St. in Wilmington and identified as Town Assessor Map 98, Parcel 4; or take any other action related thereto. - ARTICLE 38: To see if the town will vote to amend the Town of Wilmington Zoning By-law and Zoning District Map to create a new Neighborhood Mixed Use Zoning District which would allow for multi-family housing in the area known as "Perry's Corner" – the corner of Lowell Street and Woburn Street by Lucci's and Textron. This would allow for construction of a multi-family use by special permit from the Planning Board, in the form of town homes or condos.
