The town's first drive to support recovery and remove the stigma of addiction and its treatment is underway. Find out how you can help.

A group in town is working to support recovery and remove the stigma of addiction and its treatment by hosting Wilmington’s Holiday Drive to Support Recovery.
Wilmington Supports Recovery will be collecting supplies needed at the Fourth of July building during Wilmington’s tree lighting event on Sunday, Dec. 5, and during other events this weekend and throughout the month.
The drive is a community collection of needed supplies to provide addicts and alcoholics and their children with toiletries, clothing, winter wear, and many other items that they need to stay warm and healthy.

Wilmington Supports Recovery is an organization collecting supplies to donate to recovering addicts and alcoholics in local treatment centers this holiday season. The full list of supplies includes toiletries, clothing, and craft supplies, but every single patient or resident could use a few basic necessities. Some facilities can’t accommodate visitors, and they want the patients and residents to know, on Christmas morning, that people are thinking about them and supporting them.
Find out what supplies are needed and more about the drive on their website www.WilmingtonSupportsRecovery.com.
