Group Raising Money to Help Stop Wildwood Cemetery Thefts

The Wildwood Warriors have started a GoFundMe campaign to help police and a private investigator to stop the thefts from the cemetery.

For years, thefts of mementos from graves at Wilmington’s Wildwood Cemetery have continued. A group of concerned citizens, the Wildwood Warriors, is working tirelessly with officials, as well as a private investigator to stop the thefts at the cemetery.

The group has launched a GoFundMe page to help raise money to help them move forward and purchase items to aid them in catching the individual or individuals responsible for these thefts, according to the GoFundMe page. The goal is to raise $500 and over the past week and a half more than $400 has been raised.

Officials are encouraging anyone who has had items stolen to report the theft. The value of these items isn’t as important as the report of the theft itself.
