To use the yard waste recycling facility, residents must purchase a $15 punch card which is good for five visits to the center. The card can be purchased at the Treasurer/Collector’s Office, Room 1 in Town hall. The facility is for Wilmington residents only and is only for drop off of leaves and brush (not grass clippings). Residents need to present an ID and the punch card at the entrance.

The Conservation Commission reminds residents to dispose of yard waste away from wetlands. Yard waste can be composted to be used as mulch to enrich soil and increase its moisture-holding capacity. More information is available at the town’s Planning & Conservation office, as well as at www.mass.gov/dep/recycle/reduce/
