Man Had Gun With Filed-Off Serial Number: Wilmington Police
A man was arrested on gun charges over the weekend after police said they found him with a loaded 9 mm.
WILMINGTON, MA — A man was arrested on accusations that he was carrying a loaded 9 mm handgun with the serial number scraped off, according to police.
Police pulled over a BMW with expired registration at 12:19 p.m. Saturday. Police found the gun in the car.
The driver was identified as Jackinson Joacine, 27, of Quincy. He did not have a license to carry the gun, police said.

Joacine was charged with multiple offenses, including possession of a firearm with a defaced number, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without a firearm ID card, improper storage of a firearm, as well as several motor vehicle offenses.
Joacine was arraigned at Woburn District Court on Monday, March 18.
