Man Runs From Police When Confronted at Chili's

The following information was taken from the Wilmington Police Department logs. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police log from Saturday, Feb. 8.

Saturday, Feb. 8

  • At 3:58 a.m. medical aid was requested on Wicks Circle. The Fire Department responded, but the involved party ran from the scene. A K-9 unit was called to the area. The man was eventually located near Wicks Circle.
  • At 7:47 a.m. following a domestic incident on Boutwell Street, police made one arrest. Scot J. Edgerly, 48, of 21 Boutwell Street, Wilmington, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.
  • At 8:53 a.m. a CVS employee reported damage to the dumpster area sometime during the night. After checking security footage, officers identified that they were looking for a Silver Dodge SUV with heavy front end damage.
  • At 11:04 a.m. a Mill Road resident reported their mailbox was damaged late the previous night. Officers noted that another home in the area had similar damage done to it, and the reporting party said a neighbor found a bat in their driveway that morning.
  • At 9:18 p.m. police attempted to serve a warrant on a man at Chili’s. The officer reported a foot pursuit towards Rocco’s. The Tewksbury K-9 Unit was called to the scene, and eventually made an arrest in their town.
