From Saturday to Monday, Memorial Day festivities will be taking place around Wilmington.

Although the weather looks as if it it will be sub par, Memorial Day weekend is upon us and there are events, activities and celebrations happening around Wilmington all weekend.

8 a.m.- Decoration of Veterans’ Graves at Wildwood Cemetery

Sunday May 26
Rededication of Parks, Squares and Monuments
1 p.m.- Police Station Monument
1:15 p.m.- Memorial Shrine - Saint Thomas of Villanova Church
At Veterans Monument on Town Common - Rededication of the Following Squares:
Vietnam Veterans Memorial - Wilmington Memorial Library
Robert W. Parent Memorial - , Middlesex Avenue
Rogers Park - Middlesex Avenue and Glen Road
Ronald Eaton Square - Glen Road and Main Street
John J. Fullerton, Jr. Memorial - Grove Avenue
Missing at Sea Sailors - Silver Lake at Main Street

9:30 a.m.- Parade formation- Adult Groups at Market Basket Parking Lot *All Youth Groups at Wilmington House of Pizza.
10 a.m.- Parade Starts - Main Street to Church St. to Middlesex Avenue to Wildwood Cemetery. (All cars use the Wildwood Street entrance and
leave after the marchers.)
11 a.m.- Veterans’ Lot and Soldiers Monument- Exercises Flag Ceremony - All Color Guards.
