Potential 'Assassin Game' Incident Investigated In Wilmington

A resident reported a suspicious person banging on their door which could be connected to a game local students are playing, police said.

WILMINGTON, MA — Police are investigating after a resident encountered a suspicious person banging on their door who appeared to be carrying a gun.

Police received a call from the Radcliff Road resident Saturday at 10:08 p.m.

"As part of an active investigation, the Wilmington Police Department is exploring all possibilities, including whether this incident may be connected to the ongoing 'senior assassin' game currently taking place among local students," police said in a statement.

The suspect was described as a larger male wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants. A white sedan left the area around the time of the incident, according to police.

Police are asking residents in the area of Radcliff Road and Lake Street to review any home surveillance footage from the late evening hours Saturday from 9:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
