Recreation Basketball Season is Almost Here

Recreation basketball season is rapidly approaching. Here is what the Wilmington Recreation Department is has in store, when the programs run and when to register:

Jr. Basketball (Grades 1 – 2)

Cost: $37,

Duration: 6 Weeks, Saturdays, Jan. 2 through Feb. 6,

Location: Shawsheen School Gym.

This instructional league introduces the basics. Teams play a staggered schedule of hourly sessions that include drills and scrimmages. Late registrations will be accepted based on availability; late registrants pay a $10 fee.

Registration deadline is Thursday, Nov. 12.

Recreation Basketball League (WRBL)

There are still limited spaces left in Boys Grades 5/6 and 7/8 and Girls Grades 3/4 and 5/6

Cost: $98 including late fee

Duration: Nov. 30 to Feb. 6, (not 12/24 – 1/1 or 1/18)

This will mark the 53rd year for Wilmington Recreation Basketball! There are 9 Saturday games and one weeknight practice each week, with separate divisions for boys and girls. Late registrations will be accepted based on availability.

PLEASE NOTE: You can register now ONLINE or by mail or visit the Recreation Office between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.
