School Starts Tuesday in Wilmington

School starts this week in Wilmington with the first day of school for students in grades one through 12 set for Tuesday, Sept. 1.
Preschool and kindergarten students start Tuesday, Sept. 8.
There is no school on Friday, Sept. 4 or on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7.

First Day of School Forms
The Wilmington Public Schools administration has compiled on its website all the essential forms, acknowledgements and procedures needed for children to start the year.
The school department has transitioned to an online system for forms and acknowledgements through its Aspen student information system.
Important 2015-2016 Dates for Wilmington Students and Parents
- Friday, Oct. 9: No school, teacher development day
- Monday, Oct. 12: No school, Columbus Day
- Wednesday, Nov. 11: No School, Veterans Day
- Friday, Nov. 20: Early release day
- Wednesday, Nov. 25: Early release day
- Thursday, Nov. 26: No school, Thanksgiving
- Friday, Nov. 27: No school
- Thursday, Dec. 24 through Friday, Jan. 1: No school, December vacation
- Monday, Jan. 4: Classes resume
