Stanley J. Koczen, 72, of Wilmington

Stanley was a proud United States Air Force Veteran during the Vietnam War.

WILMINGTON, MA - Stanley J. Koczen, age 72, of Wilmington, died unexpectedly on April 21, 2016.

Stanley was the beloved husband of the late Cynthia A. (Bishop) Koczen, devoted father of Debra A. Goldberg & husband Russell of North Reading, Stanley E. Koczen of Wilmington, and Jennifer L. DiPerri & husband Jeffrey of Tewksbury. Loving grandfather of Jeremy, Lindsy, & Carly Goldberg and Nicholas DiPerri. Cherished son of the late Stanley P. and Helen (Hac) Koczen, brother of the late Helen Wolaszek, son-in-law of Chesley and Phyllis Bishop of Newfoundland. Stanley is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as a large extended family in Newfoundland.

Family & friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Wednesday, April 27 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 10 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 26 from 5-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations in Stanley’s memory may be made to Air Warrior Courage Foundation, P. O. Box 877, Silver Springs, MD 20918. Stanley was a proud United States Air Force Veteran during the Vietnam War.
